It’s been a while now, hasn’t it?
Welcome back, those of you who are returning from places unknown (Texas perhaps?). This has been a busy time for the Squegi`, people running everywhere. I myself have been madly coding things for the project.
The aptly named carver aka silentc (the c is silent) has managed to go from head technician to actual supervisor, as well as documentation writer for the PennSwoo. Suddenly all of Antioch (the is now in a PennSwoo authority position, forming a mega-block of PennSwoo virtual power.)
According to Skeletor1, there is talk of plane tickets and trips and vacation time, as well as various rumours concerning inx and myself. Apparently (according to Skel) all of IRCNet is abuzz with gossip that inx and I have something going on, something personal. I do not know how such rumours got started, or where they will lead to, but I find such gossip offensive. After all, they do not know the facts in this case, and are merely repeating what sounds good.
However, I feel that because of the fact that these rumours are affecting how people act around inx and myself, I need to step forward and set the record straight. These rumours, those things that you have heard ( you have heard, have you not?), are in fact, completely, 100%
i guess that means i can't take my hair dryer to bed then
* `inx` will have to find something else then
* Squegie is restraining himself mightily
* Squegie continues restraining himself from commenting on that
* Squegie hopes that skel will make the comment for him
i know, i know.. you want to suggest the curling iron instead.
i admire your restraint
its things like that, that i look for in a guy
suggesting the curling iron over the hair dryer
* `inx` advises Skel to take notes
* `inx` also thinks this would make an interesting rant
yes, yes it would
Exciting times, boring times, these we can be assured, do exist.
First off, I reinstalled my computer. I figured I would give W2k a try as I have not used W2K yet (although I have used NT workstations before). I went through a mad distro, from RH 7.2 to Debian, onto Turbo Linux (which is not that bad), and then a quick stint with Beos, and now I am running Slack on my laptop, and testing out windows 2k on my home puter.
Unfortunately, when I installed W2k I never backed up my progress quest game, leaving me back to a level 0 player. I attempted to restart with my Squegie nickname, but alas, I have been told that such a name is unavailable. I hope I can get my character back, because he was such a “bad-arse”.
Have you ever been in a situation where someone has asked you a question, and they need the answer, and you need to give them the answer, and you don’t know the answer? It’s not something that you can look up in a reference book, or on the internet, but must come straight from you. The problem with these type of questions is that if you don’t know the answer, it will keep nagging at you until you have the answer. When this situation arises, you can try avoiding the question for a long time, and be quite successful. However, at some point, you need to address that question, and do whatever it takes to find the answer, even if you do not like the result. Otherwise, you will always be wondering “What was the answer? Would I be doing what I’m doing now if the answer is what I thought it was? What if it isn’t?” There would always be that shadow of doubt over your life, the thought that there could be something more, or something less.
If there’s something you must do, then my advice to you is to do it.
[21:08] <|inx|> so what question have i been dodging? 😉

I have recently joined in with a new breed of RPG. Basically starting the “fire-and-forget” class, Progressquest (www.progressquest.com) will advance with our without you. Their site is a bit hammered right now from massive traffic, so I have mirrored the download here. Here is the introduction, and the download.
